Fernando's was a very nice place with a good vibe, service and good food. the menu was interesting, and food was delicious. I had the Piccanha and my wife had the Escondidinho de Frango (Chicken shepherds pie). both were excellent. the appetizer coxinha (chicken croquettes) were tasty but we felt the portion size was a bit too small, there was more breading than the chicken. the ambience and service was great. i highly recommend giving it a try.

So, this was fantastic dinner. Especially since I tend towards plant based meals. They were super accommodating and knew which items were and weren’t. I had the Vegan yuca con Quiabo. My dinner turned out great. I will say you pay for the quality of food. Portions were a good size. We had chips and guacamole and chips and salsa starters , didn’t need both for two of us. My wife had the variety pack of 3 empanadas and came away full.

The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and was very helpful. I went in just before the kitchen closed and was given a great recommendation for food. The picanha was cooked perfectly and had all the flavors. The staff checked in often. Not so see if I was done but if I wanted anything else. Will definitely be going back.

1/11/2025 Update Fernando’s is the best restaurant in Indianapolis. The staff is very knowledgeable on food allergies and they take it very seriously. Most of their dishes are or can be made gluten free. Kayce is one of the best General Managers i have ever met. She has an amazing team and it is clear they all work well and together. Fernando's has a great ambiance and vibe whether you sit at/by the bar, inside or on their covered outdoor terrace. All around so good! Update 9/13/24 Finally dined in and had a great time. The food was outstanding. You had Gluten Free options and alternatives! You can't beat the flavor and service!

Cozy place, tasty food, 100% service. The owner came to our table, explained each dish, and made us feel at ease. I recommend it because it made me feel at home, it reminded me of my mother's cooking. I will be back many times.

The food and service was excellent. My wife and I shared three appetizers and one main dish. We had the chips and salsa, ceviche, frango a passarinho, and steak fajita. The in-house chips were delicious! The salsa vinaigrette was so good. It has a hint of vinegar, sweetness, and spiciness. All so good. The ceviche was chefs kiss. We've had plenty of ceviche before but this was eye popping good. The frango a passarinho was like little golden delights of perfection. We opted put eating the cream sauce. We decided to dip it in our salsa instead . Again so good. The fajita was mouth wstering. I can't express how exceptional this dish was. My wife and I were so happy to have found this place. We can understand why the redtaurant was so full! Im summary, the atmosphere was great. The food was fantastic. The service was awesome! Walter had served us and he was such a pleasure. He had such joy for the food and had such great energy. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to return and try the other dishes! Update: it's now May 10th, 2025 So many visits later and still enjoying their food. My wife and I are so happy to call this our favorite restaurant. Walter staff is still awesome. Still awesome atmosphere and awesome food!

Family of three here. Brazilian writing. TLDR: it's a great restaurant with super tasty proteins. Fantastic drinks. Amazing espresso. Best Brazilian food in town. Atmosphere Indoor decorations are beautiful. Outdoors are cozy and great with heaters on when it's cold out. Tables were clean and organized, with live flowers adding to the upbeat vibe. Lunch time reggaeton was for sure too much for my taste. Too early for a pure party vibe. Quite contrasting with the relaxing vibe. I know this is often employees trying to keep their energy up while also having music for everyone, but I'd totally go for samba, bossa nova, MPB, Liniker, calmer tunes. Service: pristine. Really. Nothing to add here but praise. They were very accommodating to our kid and customized his dish upon his request. Food: Pão de queijo comes in 6, I think. They're large and parmesan based. Must have. Coxinha comes in 6 mini ones. The item itself is delicious and worthy. But they place over a garlic cream underneath that I'd say lick or clear it first and experience the coxinha without before saying you don't like it. 4/5. Chicken stroganoff is very authentic. A whole lot of chicken. It could be a bit heavier in cream, but I found it 4.5/5 already this way. The stick fries are innovative and less crispy than they seem, but I like it too. Enchiladas Rojas steaks are fabulous. The cheese, salad, enchiladas themselves were tasty and authentic too. Beans and rice were a bit bland. Maybe to be mixed together with the tasty meat instead of eaten separately. Moqueca de peixe is 10/10. Really tasty and well made. Closer to Bahia style, if you're experienced. You can ask to go heavier in dende. Escondidinho de frango was very delicious 5/5. Chicken fingers are 5/5. The flan (Pudim) is 5/5 too. Perfect size. We didn't take the picanha yet, but we'll be back for it. We saw it and the portions are huge and smell so good. Other customers were quite happy enjoying it. Looking forward to it! PS: the menu might not be descriptive enough for foreigners, so pictures could help.

***** Here’s What You Need to Know ***** The owner, Cristiano, is the real deal. From He’s from Minas Gerais, the BBQ Mecca of Brazil. According to our server, Adan, he works with a local meat processor, instructing them how to get the lomo cut for picanha. I spent time in Brasilia and São Paolo recently, and the pão de queijo was the best I’ve ever had. The ceviche was a new spin, finely chopped and not brothy. I’ll definitely be back.
